Ghana
STACCGHANA was established in
2008 and is registered as a national Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)
in Ghana. The team, based in Bongo district near the border with Burkina
Faso, has carried out health surveys to prioritise treatment needs and is conducting health
education sessions in primary schools. Treatment for worm infections has
started.
Free dental treatment for school-age
children is a special feature of the health care on offer, since dental fluorosis
is a problem in the area.
