Uganda
St Kizito Hospital, Matany, Karamoja, is administered by Comboni missionaries
and is registered with the government and staffed by Ugandan health professionals.
STACC sends funds which amount to about a third of the entire cost of running
the Children's Ward including the purchase of medicines, food, surgical supplies
and linen. During the year 2007/2008, the ward with its 55 beds, cared for
about 7200 inpatients and 16,300 outpatients.
