Refurbishment of Gombani Clinic
 

Gombani Clinic on Pemba Island, Zanzibar, is supported by STACC in partnership with the Ivo de Carneri Foundation (Milan). The clinic is registered with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Government of Zanzibar. During the past year, the clinic's building has undergone a major refurbishment programme thanks to funds from STACC and from the IdCF in Milan. Through its permanent clinic and outreach services, the Gombani Clinic delivers free health care to about 22,000 young patients annually. Insecticide-treated bednets have been distributed in an effort to reduce the problem caused by malaria.
