MalariaInAfricaTalk

Malaria is the most common disease affecting children at all six clinics we support. Dr Lisa Ranford-Cartwright is from the University of Glasgow's

School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine where she is Reader in Host-Parasite Interactions and Pathogenesis. Her research focuses on better understandings of the human malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum. Her work combines laboratory experimental work with fieldwork in malaria-endemic countries with the aim of developing new tests to predict disease severity in people or the likelihood of malaria transmission. This talk was hosted by STACC at the University of Glasgow in November 2022.
